Policy Statements
Fugro Subsea Services Ltd have in place a Quality Policy and a HSE Policy both signed by the Managing Director.
These policies are displayed at all worksites and in the office reception.
The policies are issued to new staff at induction and are readily available to all employees via the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Legislation
Fugro Subsea Services Ltd as a minimum complies with health, safety and environmental protection legislation relevant for the area of operation.
Progressive HSE Management
Fugro Subsea Services Ltd are active members of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), Subsea UK, Stepchange in Safety and Green Business Partnership Ltd. They have contributed to and supported their work on improved safety management and environmental protection systems.
Fugro Subsea Services Ltd operates its own Annual Safety Awards. The awards are announced at the Annual HSE Forum.
Monitoring and Reporting
Fugro Subsea Services Ltd has a proactive approach to QHSE and has in place a hierarchy of reporting systems which ensure that QHSE related issues are monitored at all levels of the organisation. QHSE performance is addressed at each of the following meetings:
• Project briefing and debriefing meetings;
• Project Kick-off meetings;
• Weekly Department/Business Line meetings;
• 2 Weekly Management Team Meetings;
• 6 Monthly Management Review meetings.

Internal Auditing
Internal auditing is a key component of the Fugro Subsea Services Ltd IMS. Internal auditors have been trained and a planned, systematic, audit schedule is maintained. This ensures business processes are audited on an annual basis. Each of the Company's permanent vessels is controlled under the Vessel Assurance Procedure which identifies the audit requirements. When ad-hoc vessels are used, where possible they are audited before operations commence. Internal QHSE audits of the office/workshop premises are also conducted. External specialists are employed to assist in audits where considered appropriate. Audits and audit actions are tracked through the Action Tracker system on the Fugro Subsea Services Ltd Intranet.
