Fugro Symphony is our latest construction support vessel. She is being fitted out in BMV shipyard at Bergen Norway progress to date has been good despite the heavy snow and conditions they have endured over winter. The project team are still confident they will meet the delivery date of 3rd of May. The vessel manager reports they will be fitting the rest Fugro Subsea Services equipment around about 6th April this will give everyone plenty of time to integrate the FCV ROVs and survey equipment before actual delivery.
Offshore vessel manager says “One of the highlights of the build program so far was seeing the 150t main crane being installed by a local crane barge. The crane installation is now complete with commissioning expected to finish soon and final testing scheduled for end of February. The 10t crane has already been fully tested and certified. Both of the ROV LARS is mechanically installed with only the electrical and hydraulic installations to be completed before we can start commissioning and testing.”
Fugro Symphony is the largest of our construction vessel at 130 m long and with a beam of 24m the working deck is about the size of a standard football pitch.
